Our College of Education and Behavioral Studies is dedicated to advance educational development through training, knowledge generation and service delivery. This College of Education and Behavioral Studies is designed as a center of excellence in professional preparation, research, and global educational leadership. Our students are prepared for positions of responsibility and leadership in teaching, research, consulting, school counseling and psychology, curriculum development, and administration.

We are a dynamic academic hub where faculty, students and our community stakeholders come together to prepare the next generation of scholars, practitioners and professionals. This College of Education and Behavioral Studies therefore aim to:

Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and a sense belonging through creating a culture that celebrates the diversity of students, faculty, and staff; by developing and implementing inclusive practices and policies to create an equitable, supportive learning and working environment.
Reimagine curriculum and program development by regularly updating curricula that reflect multiple perspectives, amplify historically marginalized voices, and address equity issues; by developing interdisciplinary programs that encourage collaboration between students, practitioners, and scholars.
Increase community engagement by establishing partnerships with diverse communities to facilitate experiential learning and research opportunities for students and faculty; by promoting service-learning and community-based research projects that address local inequities.
Support research and scholarship by incentivizing faculty and student research that contributes to understanding inequities and methods for promoting societal change and encouraging the dissemination of research findings through publications, conferences, and community forums.
Engage in professional development by providing and participating in ongoing professional development for educators, practitioners, and scholars to enhance equity and social justice work, knowledge, and skills and offer training in cultural competency/humility and inclusive teaching and practices.
Uniting the academic programs focused on both education and behavioral sciences (social work, mental health counseling, and psychology) allows our faculty and staff to collaboratively lead learners in their intellectual and professional pursuits to transform our society in positive ways.

The faculty, staff, and leaders of this College are committed to the development of highly qualified professionals who will be reflective-decision makers in their respective fields. Our faculty members offer standards-based curricula, while still maintaining personal connections. We work diligently to provide candidates quality experiences within the classroom and in field experiences.

The college trains graduates at undergraduate, post graduate, diploma levels in various areas of Education and Behavioural Studies. We also have different short term professional development training programs.
